Fuelberg Jailed

Sources have informed PEC Truthwatch that Bennie Fuelberg, PEC’s General Manager until his 30 year reign ended in 2007, is now in jail. He was receiving his breakfast behind bars in the Blanco County Jail this morning as this report was being filed.

Fuelberg was convicted of felonies in 2011… of third-degree theft, misapplication of fiduciary property and money laundering for setting up secret payments to his brother, Curtis Fuelberg. The jury recommended probation but District Judge Dan Mills had judicial latitude to sentence Fuelberg to jail and did so.

Mr. Fuelberg has been free on appeal ever since. Controversy swirled last month over Mr. Fuelberg’s jail sentence when another Judge in Burnet County, District Judge J. Allen Garrett, modified the terms of Judge Mills sentence. (see post, “The D.A. Explains Fuelberg’s Probation Modification, July 28, 2015).

No further details about Fuelberg’s incarceration are known to PEC Truthout at this time.
